Principal / Landscape Architect
Mimi strives to create memorable, resilient places for her clients and their communities that connect people to nature. Her designs evolve from each site - reflecting the project’s unique historical, cultural, and environmental context. Mimi stumbled upon Landscape Architecture while at SUNY-College of Environmental Science and Forestry. “I thought I was going to be a forest ranger or a lawyer for the Sierra Club, but found out that the solitude of a ranger’s life freaked me out and I wasn’t any good at law. Landscape architecture made use of the science classes I had behind me, was aligned with my love of the outdoors and had strong connections to the social sciences and the arts.”
Mimi enjoys the creative and collaborative atmosphere at D/P/S and finds joy in creating new and better ways to design and construct beautiful, sustainable landscapes that improve people's lives.
