Education that endures
Yucca Elementary School
The new Yucca Heights Elementary School was designed to alleviate overcrowding at other local schools while balancing efficiency, community access, and a challenging site environment. The selected site is prone to strong winds and blowing sand from surrounding undeveloped areas. To address this and minimize future maintenance issues, the building shields the play area from wind, and the design incorporates very durable materials, shading elements, and low-maintenance landscaping. The simple double-loaded corridor floor plan provides maximum space efficiency to enable a greater amount of space to be dedicated to the classrooms.
