Vega ISD High School

Vega school district has always been a K-12 campus under one roof. DPS designed the comprehensive new high school addition to be constructed while the existing campus remained fully operational.

The high school addition has a new administration, secured entrance, library, classrooms, agricultural shop, renovated band hall, and competition gymnasium. The existing football field was completely redone and has a new fescue grass field.

To accomplish all the projects in a timely fashion, the football/track project was done as a separate project and the high school addition was divided into five separate projects. Bidding separate packages allowed two general contractors to work simultaneously and keep the school district functional and operational throughout construction. The project was completed in June 2017 and was ready for the 2017/2018 school year.
