Mesa View Assisted Living
Nestled among the rolling hills, river bed, and rock outcrops of the northeast Texas Panhandle, Mesa View Assisted Living extols the historic ranching lifestyle of Canadian, Texas. The master plan for the seven-acre campus began with the unique collaboration between two church fellowships that joined together to provide leadership in response to the needs of the aging population. The churches donated the project and property to the county hospital for operational purposes. Mesa View Assisted Living is designed to be a safe and nurturing environment where appropriate needs are instituted for healthcare in a residential style of living.
The campus offers five independent living duplex homes in addition to the main assisted living facility. The five duplex homes create a community neighborhood atmosphere and designated golf cart paths provide easy accessibility throughout the campus. Many more independent living duplex homes are on the horizon as well as more trails and cart paths connecting this unique campus.
The assisted living facility offers 20 apartments and numerous services. The elegant apartments each have a kitchenette designed with an open plan to the living area. The one bedroom units are equipped with top of the line fixtures and finishes, as well as a private, ADA accessible three-quarter bath.
The Grand Hall is community space that includes a library, TV room, dining room, game and card area, salon, and large outdoor balcony. The main entrance to the Grand Hall is oriented to the east for the first morning light to flood the open community area through ample glass windows and provide the warmth of the setting sun for the day's end. The floor below the main level of the facility contains an activity room, movie and media room, resident storage, and guest quarters for visiting families.
