Not your typical development model

Mesa del Sol is a major mixed-use development that encompasses 20 square miles in Albuquerque. With over 2,000 jobs, it is home to major employers such as Albuquerque Studios, New Mexico's first full scale movie production studio. These employment based projects are the leading edge of an ambitious development program that includes over 30,000 new homes and a mix of non-residential components. DPS has been involved in virtually all aspects of Mesa del Sol, from the overall Level A Master Plan to the design guidelines for neighborhoods and employment districts. The Level A Master Plan laid out the broad concepts of New Urbanism and Transit Oriented Development that define and distinguish this development from the typical development model in Albuquerque.
