Mercury is a leading provider of payment processing and revenue generation solutions with corporate headquarters located in Durango and additional office space in Denver, Colorado. DPS has provided design services for both locations, working with Mercury's real estate consultant from Studley.
The design team developed space requirements that informed the design of the three-story headquarters building, which houses 600 employees. The design includes high performance office space, a data center, a fitness facility, and an employee health clinic.
The open office environment encourages collaboration, and because support spaces are located in the interior core of the building while workspaces are along the perimeter, all employees have access to daylight and views. The few private offices still allow for privacy and confidential work, and additional "huddle rooms" are distributed throughout the facility to provide space for private conversations.
The interior spaces, finishes, and furnishings are designed to reinforce Mercury's brand and showcase the building's sustainable features, which prioritize daylighting and water conservation. Mercury's headquarters achieved LEED Gold certification.
