Lincoln County Medical Center Physicians Office Building

As an older healthcare facility, Lincoln County Medical Center needed to grow and update aging infrastructure. LCMC engaged DPS to study multiple options for the institution including additions, remodeling, and replacement. The process began with a facility assessment to determine the expected lifespan and condition of the existing building and systems. The assessment prioritized needed improvements and identified suggested timing and costs of the various strategies. The study also identified the spaces in the hospital that were most in need of attention. The goals were to minimize the cost, focus on patient care, and create the highest and best use of existing space. The conclusion of the report was that Lincoln County Medical Center was best served by replacement of the majority of the facility due to its age.

This multi-specialty Medical Office Complex is the first phase of an extensive redevelopment and upgrade of the Lincoln County Medical Center campus. The building consolidates into one location various smaller clinics as well as lab space that were previously spread around the campus, allowing multidisciplinary teams to work together to provide better, more integrated care for patients.

The building was also the first step in upgrading the architecture and interior design of the campus. A cohesive architectural language has been established that will be shared with multiple campus buildings, and on the interior, a warm, neutral color palette paired with bold accent colors creates a welcoming, friendly environment for patients and staff.
