Las Estancias Clinic
This 35,500sf clinic utilizes a color and material palette influenced by the rich culture of the Albuquerque South Valley. Located on the corner of Coors Blvd and Las Estancias drive, the clinic offers easy access and comprehensive health care services to individuals and families, including urgent care services.
The layout is defined by a central check-in area for the clinics and a separate waiting for Urgent Care and TriCore services operating on longer schedules. Locating an imaging room between the clinic and Urgent Care provides same-day services in a convenient setting.
A food pharmacy and community room promote engagement by providing needed services, food supplies, and education to the surrounding communities. Additionally, the site allows for a future outdoor courtyard to hold community events and other gatherings.
The design and layout of the clinics are uniform to allow for any medical specialty to occupy a clinic pod for flexibility. Current specialties include Pediatrics, Family Medicine, OB/GYN, and Internal Medicine.
The waiting areas outside each clinic minimize patient confusion when arriving for an appointment. These spaces are naturally lit from a variety of natural lighting sources: clearstory windows, full-height windows, and skylights all aid in creating a healing environment.
The orientation of the building provides space for future expansion of clinic pods and medical specialties.
