As a kid, Max wanted to build his own house. Unstructured travel in his youth led to a realization about the ways that thoughtful design can support healing. He specialized in healthcare partly because of its complexity, but also because he believes in keeping people well.
Max co-leads our healthcare studio and concentrates on fostering trust and communication. His foremost concern is how our work affects human beings. He is less interested in making visually arresting buildings than in having a positive influence on the community. Leading with patience and compassion, Max creates teams that put others in the position to elevate their practice and see what they draw get built.
His enthusiasm, hard work, and high quality results have led to meaningful relationships with clients, partners, and employees. When he’s not working, Max loves backpacking, rafting, and appreciating the beauty of the planet.
