Construction Administrator/CA Lead: Can be a licensed architect, tenured intern, or an experienced construction administrator with 3 plus years of experience in construction project management. Able to apply professional judgment to issues that arise during construction to maintain construction quality and compliance with CDs, maintaining a positive relationship with the Owner and the GC during construction. Role responsibilities include:

  • All CA activities, including returning submittals and RFIs in the time allowed by the contract.
  • Representing DPS in most/all construction progress meetings and conduct field observations.
  • Coordinating as needed to cover meetings/observations for any schedule conflicts.
  • Completing Field Observation Reports within time allowed by contract and provide necessary information to admin assistant for distribution/posting.
  • Providing oversight for reviews and responses completed by other team members, as appropriate
  • Informing PM/PIC of any major construction issues or changes that incur significant cost/time, owner concerns, and/or tension with GC, etc. immediately.
  • Share lessons learned from the field with the design team, internal consultants, and spec writer (informally and through group meetings)
  • Acts as a resource and positive mentor to less experienced staff
  • Using strong construction observation, organization, and negotiation candidates would play a key role in supporting a variety of project types by way of QA/QC project reviews and other CA duties.

Required Qualifications: Applicants with a strong knowledge of architecture and construction who have strong communication, organization skills and experience in construction administration and negotiation. The ability to travel to worksites in and out of state and safely navigate construction worksites is required. AutoCAD and Revit abilities are Preferred.
