Congratulations to the River Road High School Wildcats! Thanks to an investment in trades education programs, students now have more options when entering the workforce.
The school has expanded their programs to include robust instruction in nursing, cosmetology, and welding trades. The goal is provide students an education that prepares them for in-demand, skilled positions after graduation. These skills not only apply to their direct fields, but can also be used as a stepping stone towards a multitude of advanced higher education degrees.
Dekker/Perich/Sabatini was thrilled to work with River Road ISD and the High School to transform their existing facilities into space for their new programs.
We worked with the school to renovate their old gym into the new Cosmetology area with a lab classroom, restrooms, and office. D/P/S also redesigned the Welding Trades program by demolishing a classroom in the welding shop and adding new space for welding stations in the shop. The Nursing program is using existing classrooms.
Congrats to the Wildcats!! And a very special thank you to Mr. Nies for the great wildcat sculpture.
