The growth strategy of Electric Playhouse is designed to breathe new life into dormant, hard-to-rent spaces, converting them from eyesores and financial drains into bustling hubs of entertainment and socialization that revitalize shopping centers and malls, all through the use of modular interactive gameplay experiences that allow for maximum flexibility.
True to the model of converting vacant big-box retail locations, the team repurposed a vacant 24,000sf existing Staples building. The project stayed within its budget of $1.8M with a majority of the project cost associated with the addition of a full commercial kitchen and the added electrical systems needed to support the large amount of technological magic that energizes the Playhouse.

Affiliated with the University of New Mexico, the Albuquerque Institute for Mathematics and Science (AIMS) Charter School is the #1 charter school in New Mexico.
The school previously occupied two buildings in the South University Campus, separated by two blocks of public roads that students from 6th through 12th grade had to navigate. Consolidating the school into a single building offered increased security, control, and efficiency for students and staff.
Designed to be in compliance with PSFA standards, the expansion into an adjacent tenant space provided new classrooms, seminar rooms, offices, and support spaces.
This dedicated early childhood campus creates a rich indoor-outdoor learning environment for young students with special needs. Shining Stars is committed to having every class use every outdoor learning area, so students will have access to 2 wind-sheltered courtyards that include areas for STEaM activities, sand play, gardening, reading, gross motor play, abilities lab, fine motor activities, and sensory exploration.
Each pair of classrooms promotes student independence and learning through shared restrooms, built-in casework with child-height displays, and an open layout to enable teachers to create a variety of learning centers.
The Shining Stars campus also includes a separate building for the Child Development Center, a full-day childcare program for infants through 4-year olds.
Paako Ridge Golf Clubhouse was originally designed and constructed at the turn of the millennium. For nearly 20 years it served simultaneous functions as a café and pro shop for golfers. With new ownership of the golf course came the desire to update the form and function of the clubhouse for a new vision of the future.
The main goal of the project was to create a new food and beverage venue that could serve both the golf course and the community at large. The clubhouse now serves multiple restaurant and event functions, providing a dining option for the Paa-Ko Ridge community, support to the golf course staff and future on-site lodging guests, and a rentable venue for weddings and events.
The 35,500sf Las Estancias Clinic utilizes color and material palettes influenced by the rich culture of the Albuquerque South Valley. Located on the corner of Coors Blvd and Las Estancias drive, the clinic offers easy access and comprehensive health care services to individuals and families, including urgent care services.
A food pharmacy and community room promote engagement by providing needed services, food supplies, and education to the surrounding communities. Additionally, the site allows for a future outdoor courtyard to hold community events and other gatherings.
The design and layout of the clinics are uniform to allow for any medical specialty to occupy a clinic pod for flexibility. Current specialties include Pediatrics, Family Medicine, OB/GYN, and Internal Medicine.
