Congratulations To Our New Coordinators!

Dekker Perich Sabatini is pleased to promote nineteen individuals to Coordinator positions. Promotion to Coordinator recognizes these individuals' contributions, professionalism, and expertise in their fields.

Cindy Terry has created unique award-winning university, research, public school, commercial, and institutional projects for over 34 years. She is a native New Mexican who received her Master of Architecture degree from the University of New Mexico.

Ken Wooten brings over 30 years of experience and leadership, from working as a laborer to being the owner of a general contracting company. He has completed projects ranging from ground up construction to complex remodels of fully occupied facilities and from 1,000sf buildings to 200,000sf school campuses. 

Patricia Yamamoto has been with Dekker/Perich/Sabatini since 2014. During this time, she has worked on a variety of project types, including commercial offices, hospitality, senior living communities, healthcare, housing, and educational facilities.  She is skilled at construction documentation for new construction and renovation projects. 

Mark Paz has experience with large-scale mixed use commercial projects, cultural centers, and large scale master plans. He has a background in art and design, and specializes in visualization and rendering, and is investigating the use of rendering software for Revit. 

Brian Stone is an experienced human resources director who is skilled in executive coaching, staff retention, operations management, and leadership. He has a BBA focused on human resources from the University of New Mexico.

Carime Gonzalez is an accounting professional with extensive progressive experience in diverse industries, including construction, service, and manufacturing. Carime serves as the Controller for DPS and is responsible for the accounting functions of the firm. 

Paola Muniz-Garcia is an intern architect at DPS. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and a Master of Architecture from Texas Tech University. She's been with the firm since 2015.

Shane Pedraza is an intern architect at DPS who works in the Housing Studio. She's been with the firm for over 3 years.

Brenda Huynh is an architect in the Housing Studio at DPS. She earned her master's degree in architecture from the Georgia Institute of Technology and her bachelor's of fine arts in interior design from the University of Georgia. She is a LEED Accredited Professional.

Brett Frauenglass is a registered architect in the Housing Studio, currently traveling the west doing construction administration for multifamily and assisted living facilities. 

Kate Maliskas works in the Landscape + Planning Studio at DPS. She is committed to creating a built environment that enhances well-being and fosters community growth. Bringing a refreshing outlook on projects from her diverse experience in non-profit, public, and private sectors, Kate has contributed to major projects involving master planning, land use and development processes, and zoning code ordinances.

Tom Cruickshank is a landscape designer working in the Landscape + Planning Studio. A graduate from the University of California, Davis, he has worked on a broad range of projects, from neighborhood parks, large sports complexes, housing and commercial projects.

Brian Griffith is a landscape architect with project experience ranging from large scale campus layouts to charter school parking lot expansions and courtyard planting designs. As a native New Mexican, he has gained a broad familiarity and love for both the built and natural environments in the state. 

Katie Paquette has over seventeen years of experience in landscape architecture. She has practiced both in Texas and New Mexico, designing parks, schools, hospitals, housing, and streetscapes. She specializes in project coordination by bringing clients, design expectations, and consultants together to explore project potential through planning and design. 

Wes Townsend is an intern architect who works in the Healthcare Studio. He is a member of the Design Technology Leaders group and is often found at someone else’s desk troubleshooting Revit or tinkering with a 3D printer.

Anthony Santi has experience in the design of a variety of healthcare, commercial, financial, religious, and residential projects. His comprehensive design sense and aptitude with computer rendering software allow him to quickly generate design drawings and renderings that communicate design intent and building elements. 

Chris Kennedy is a structural engineering intern at DPS. He moved to Las Cruces from Colorado Springs, CO to complete his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Design and Analysis at New Mexico State University. 

Alonso Marquez is a Revit technician in the structural department. He also has experience in AutoCAD, MicroStation, Bluebeam, and Google Earth. In conjunction with being a structural technician, Alonso has been a part of creating and maintaining our geotechnical report archives on Google Earth.

Heather Pugh is an interior designer with a background in commercial furniture and space planning. She focuses primarily on corporate and higher education but has taken part in healthcare and senior living projects as well. Heather is typically involved from the schematic design phase up to construction document submittals and believes that collaboration is extremely important for building concepts, sharing knowledge, and creating a well-rounded design.
