60 Birthday Parties For 60 Years of Design Excellence

In 2019, D/P/S commemorates 60 years of building dynamic, sustainable communities across the Southwest by providing support to five nonprofits in New Mexico, Arizona, and Texas. Partnering with Crossroads for Women, El Ranchito de Los Niños, Jardin de los Niños, Amarillo Children’s Home and Florence Crittenton, the firm will sponsor monthly birthday celebrations for over 150 children throughout 2019, a total of 60 birthday parties.

"We are honored that D/P/S has chosen El Ranchito de los Niños to partner with and provide special, memorable birthdays for each of our children. D/P/S has supported El Ranchito de los Niños since its founding year in 2000 and we are excited for them to be dedicated to helping brothers and sisters celebrate their birthdays. Birthdays can often be a difficult time for our children while they are not with their biological families. We strive to celebrate each birthday in a very special way to help each child build a foundation of happy memories. We cannot thank D/P/S enough for this priceless gift!" - Amy Kendrick, Executive Director, El Ranchito de los Niños

Established in 1959, D/P/S began as an outgrowth of Art Dekker Architects, and became D/P/S in 1998 with the merger of Dekker/Perich & Associates and Holmes/Sabatini & Associates. Since then, D/P/S has grown to operate four offices located in Albuquerque and Las Cruces, NM, Phoenix, AZ, and Amarillo, TX.  D/P/S has consistently been included on Engineering News Record’s annual list of Top Architecture & Engineering firms and has been named a Top 100 Hot Firm by the Zweig Group many times in its history.

“My father, Art Dekker, Architect and Engineer, would have been very proud of the many great projects and client relationships that have been developed over the years by our current firm. We look forward to another 60 years of service to our community, trusted clients, and industry partners.” - Dale Dekker, Founding Principal
