St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church

St. Paul the Apostle | St. Francis of Assisi | St. Albert the Great | St. Columban | Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange

This 1000 seat worship space is organized so that nobody is farther than 60 feet from the altar. The worship space, chapel, altar, and baptismal font are built in the shape of an octagon. The octagon was chosen because of its symbol of new beginnings, which is an expression of hope, or resurrection, and of eternal life. The octagon is a sign that we are always renewing our efforts to follow Christ and grow in faith. The altar sits in the center of the worship space octagon.

The primary wood for the liturgical furniture is pecan. The use of this native Texas wood provides a physical connection to the region and a visual beauty through the woods’ grain pattern.
