The renovation for the Adorers of the Blood of Christ Motherhouse was undertaken to update the chapel for Vatican II liturgies, provide a warmer, more feminine atmosphere, make the space safer and more comfortable for those elderly sisters who worship there, and upgrade heating, cooling, lighting, and sound systems. The renovation respected the historical character of the existing space while fully embracing a complete renewal of the chapel. Antiphonal seating, altar and ambo in the center, separate reservation chapel and devotional spaces throughout exemplify Vatican II liturgical renewal. The rededicated chapel is experienced as a quiet, beautiful, and clearly sacred space.
